Where and when to use check lists?  This is a question not asked as often as it should.  Check lists have an important place in process management when used effectively.  Check lists should be used as a tool that helps individuals ensure that a job is done completely and where necessary in a specific order.

When developing process or systems measurements it is important for management to use the correct language.  I’m talking about business language or operational performance language.     Business language is the language of banks, shareholders, senior management and accountants.  Operational performance language is the language of workers.  It is the language of things, and time.
